Recreation Coordinator Assistant II - Community Events (Part-time)
Job duties:
- Compose content for social media and webpages to promote programs, classes, and community events.
- Assist with volunteer program coordination and event set-up, tear-down, and implementation, working both indoors and outdoors in various locations and conditions for the Parks and Recreation Department and Keep Grapevine Beautiful.
- Attend to daily operational and facility needs for Community Events and The Vine Arts & Events Center.
- Run errands and complete assigned tasks with minimal supervision.
- Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to volunteer and patron questions and needs.
- Assist with the creation and planning of Keep Grapevine Beautiful events and educational classes.
- Contribute to the development of themes, decorations, and activities for Community Events.
- Utilize programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and Canva to maintain volunteer databases, track scheduling, and promote opportunities.
- Assist with the programming, implementation, and promotion of Community Events and classes at The Vine Arts & Events Center.
- Support the planning and execution of marketing strategies for Community Events and classes.
- Work all events including some nights and weekends
- Other duties as assigned
Physical Demands:
Ability to lift and carry equipment, supplies, and materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and reach for extended periods.
Ability to work both indoors and outdoors, sometimes in varying weather conditions.
Ability to perform manual labor during event set-up and teardown.
