Description
Kennedy Lenart Spraggins LLP is seeking a registered U.S. Patent Attorney with a background in electrical engineering and/or physics to join our growing intellectual property practice. This is a fully remote position with substantial opportunities for direct client engagement, collaboration with a highly experienced team, and work on cutting-edge technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and prosecute U.S. and international patent applications involving electrical engineering subject matter.
- Provide legal counsel regarding patent strategy, portfolio management, and intellectual property protection.
- Interpret and apply patent laws, rulings, and USPTO guidelines.
- Engage in client communication and case strategy development.
- Participate in quality control, docket management, and other operational functions as needed.
- Other duties as assigned by firm partners.
Minimum Requirements
- B.S. or higher in electrical engineering or physics.
- Registered to practice before the USPTO.
- At least 3 years of experience in private practice.
- Drafted and/or prosecuted a minimum of 50 patent applications related to electrical engineering.
- Preferred technical expertise includes:
- Analog circuitry
- Digital logic
- Processor architectures
