We are seeking an experienced and client-focused Commercial Lines Account Manager to service and manage a portfolio of business clients across diverse industries. This role requires a strong knowledge of commercial insurance products, excellent organizational skills, and a commitment to delivering exceptional service. You will handle renewals, process policy changes, quote new business, and provide expert guidance on coverage and risk management strategies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a book of commercial clients, ensuring high retention and satisfaction.
  • Handle renewals, endorsements, cancellations, and certificates of insurance.
  • Provide coverage recommendations and proactive risk management support.
  • Maintain accurate client records in the agency management system.
  • Quote new business and assist producers with proposals.
  • Communicate with carriers on underwriting, claims, and service issues.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships through proactive outreach.
  • Answer telephone calls, greet clients, and prepare conference rooms for meetings.
  • Process incoming and outgoing mail according to agency guidelines.
  • Keep workstations, lobby, and conference areas organized and presentable.
  • Update reports, maintain files/databases, and assist teammates as needed.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in commercial lines insurance.
  • Active Massachusetts Property & Casualty license (or ability to obtain).
  • Strong understanding of commercial insurance products, including General Liability, Property, Workers’ Compensation, and Commercial Auto.
  • Proficiency with agency management systems and carrier portals.
  • Excellent communication, customer service, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
