Weekend Respite Counselor
Our Weekend Respite program invites teens and adults with disabilities for enriching 2-day retreats! Respite Counselors are paired with a cabin group and support them in having a fun and positive program experience throughout their stay. In the daytime, we enjoy a variety of creative arts, nature and other seasonal activities. At night – everyone comes together for dances, talent shows and other program events.
This is an overnight, live-in camp position with weekend lodging and meals included. Respite Counselors lead a group through each program day while ensuring safety and supporting their needs with personal care. They are also responsible for completing necessary paperwork and documentation.
Camp Allyn is truly a beautiful and unique workplace! The scenic 105 (approximate) acre property has 4 sleeping cabins, accessible hiking trails, lakes for fishing and waterfront activities, a dining hall, nurses’ station and more.
WHEN WILL YOU BE WORKING?
Our Fall 2025 – Spring 2026 program season kicks off in September! Weekend Respites operate twice a month through April, 2025. Respite staff move into Camp Allyn on a Friday afternoon and stay with us through the program’s end on Sunday afternoon.

WORK REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be age 18 or above with a high school diploma or GED.
- Ability to successfully complete all background check requirements
- Ability to complete all online and in-person trainings
- Ability to lift up to 50 LBs per day

Pay: From $70.00 per day
