Night Cook GARMO and Pizza

Garmo station PM. This would be considered a part time position.

Hours and days: Wednesday- Sat. 2pm-10pm and Sunday 9am-9pm. However, there may be more hours available certain weeks.

Job duties: As our night garmo cook, you service both our dining room and pool side menus. You will also be prepping for the kitchen as needed during down time. You will maintain cleanliness of your station and kitchen coolers as needed. This position makes some small appetizers, salads, pizzas and shucks oysters among other tasks.

Our club does have a small layoff during jan-feb where you are able to collect unemployment.

Duties

• Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
• Ensure all food handling and preparation practices comply with health and safety regulations.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to maintain a clean and organized workspace.
• Assist in menu planning by providing input on seasonal ingredients and dish ideas.
• Monitor food inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
• Maintain equipment cleanliness and report any maintenance issues promptly.
• Adhere to portion control guidelines to minimize waste while ensuring quality.
• Support the dietary department by preparing meals that meet specific dietary needs when required.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a cook in a restaurant or similar food industry setting.
• Strong knowledge of food handling, preparation techniques, and kitchen safety protocols.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
• Familiarity with dietary restrictions and meal planning is a plus.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
