About the Position
We are actively seeking a meticulous and experienced Controller to oversee our financial operations and ensure precise budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting in support of our diverse construction endeavors. Key Responsibilities
- Manage and direct the company's financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal reporting requirements and regulations.
- Guide accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Analyze financial variances and provide strategic recommendations to leadership.
- Collaborate in the preparation of financial presentations for executive meetings.
- Oversee financial audits and liaise with external auditor teams.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) & Objectives
- Maintain financial reports' accuracy within a variance of 2% across accounting periods.
- Ensure budget adherence and achieve cost savings initiatives to improve operational efficiency by at least 5% annually.
- Implement financial software upgrades and process improvements to enhance workflow efficiency by 15%.
- Achieve timely completion of financial audits with zero critical findings.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; CPA preferred.
- A minimum of 7 years of experience in financial management within the construction industry.
- Proven expertise in financial planning and analysis, budget management, and internal controls.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills with a strategic mindset.
- Proficiency in construction accounting software and advanced knowledge of MS Office Suite.
