We are looking for a Recruiting and Onboarding Intern within our Human Resources Department to hire individuals who create meaningful and lasting relationships with those who call Friendship Village home, Our Residents!
PRINCIPLE JOB DUTIES:
Recruiting Support
- Assist with posting open positions on job boards, social media, and campus platforms
- Screen applications and resumes to identify qualified candidates
- Schedule candidate interviews with department managers
- Participate in job fairs and hiring events as needed
- Track applicant progress in the Applicant Tracking System (ATS)
- Help maintain a talent pipeline for high-turnover positions
Onboarding Support
- Coordinate pre-employment steps including background checks, reference checks, and paperwork
- Assist with preparing onboarding documents and orientation materials
- Support Day 1 orientation sessions by greeting new hires, guiding them through initial paperwork, and introducing them to key policies and procedures
- Help monitor and track completion of training requirements
- Ensure new hires feel welcomed, prepared, and connected to our community culture
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or related field
- Strong interest in senior care, healthcare, or nonprofit work
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Strong interpersonal and written communication skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); experience with HRIS or ATS a plus
- Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion
- Positive attitude, team-oriented, and eager to learn
