About the Role
KL Engineering is seeking a Civil Engineering Intern. This internship is ideal for students pursuing a degree in civil engineering who want to gain real-world experience on a variety of public and private projects—including commercial sites, municipal infrastructure, and parks.
What You’ll Do
- Assist with design modeling and plan production using Civil 3D
- Help prepare project plans, specifications, and cost estimates
- Support environmental impact assessments and stormwater planning
- Participate in construction observation and documentation
- Collaborate with engineers and project managers on active projects
What We’re Looking For
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
- Familiarity with AutoCAD and Civil 3D (coursework or project experience preferred)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Willingness to travel to project sites in Wisconsin
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills
