Transportation District Human Resources Manager - Mineral County
The Transportation District Human Resources Manager is for the District Engineer's Office at the District 5 Headquarters. This position manages an organizational unit within a district of the Department of Transportation, providing administrative and support services (i.e., budgeting, purchasing, personnel, business operations, etc.) in a district where operations, policy, work processes, and regulatory requirements of the unit are predictable and stable. Involves the management of lower level technical and clerical employees. The scope of responsibilities includes planning the operations and procedures, directing the work of employees, developing employees, evaluating unit operation, developing budget needs, researching new procedures and improvements, interpreting statutes, regulations and policies. Performs other related duties as required.
Minimum Requirements
REQUIRED TRAINING/EDUCATION
- Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university.
- Substitution: Experience, as described below, may be substituted for the required training/education through an established formula.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
- Five (5) years of full-time or equivalent part-time paid administrative or supervisory experience in human resources, payroll, bookkeeping, or accounting.
- Substitution. Successful completion of graduate coursework may be substituted for two (2) years of the required experience through an established formula.
