The City of Salisbury’s Police Department is seeking a current college, university, or technical institute student with interest in local government, police and crime scene unit. This internship will provide students or aspiring professionals an opportunity to gain practical experience in forensic investigation, crime scene processing and related areas. This internship will bridge academic learning with real-world applications and develop skills in crime scene investigation, evidence collection, and forensic documentation. The intern will develop hands-on experience in evidence handling, crime scene documentation, and investigate techniques that provide marketable skills for future opportunities. This internship will set the foundation for future employment in forensic science, law enforcement or related fields.

Minimum Requirements:
- Coursework relating to natural science (e.g. chemistry, biology, forensic science), or related fields
- Comfort using Microsoft Teams and Office Suite
- Interpersonal communication skills
- Comfortable Presenting at all levels
- Must have a valid NC Driver’s License
Salary: $15.00 per hour
Hours: Varies
