Hourly Rate: $34.46 hourly (35 hours weekly)
This position has a 9-step hourly salary range ($34.46 to $43.15)
The Town of Bloomfield is seeking a qualified and motivated Environmental Planner to join our planning and development team. The successful candidate will provide assistance to the Director and other Professional Staff in the Land Use Division with environmental planning reviews to ensure that proposed projects meet regulations and sustainability targets, and “Sustainable CT” initiatives.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in urban planning or environmental studies plus two years of planning or environmental experience or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience. Must possess a valid motor vehicle operator’s license. Have knowledge of environmental science principles, land use planning, environmental regulatory frameworks, sustainable practices, data analysis, and Geographic Information Systems (GIS) for planning.

Examinations may include written, oral, physical, or performance tests or any combination of the various types of examinations.
