Position Overview:

We are seeking a dependable and experienced Cook to join our professional kitchen brigade. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and producing high-quality dishes in accordance with established recipes, presentation standards, and hygiene protocols. This position requires a detail-oriented individual with a solid culinary background, a strong work ethic, and the ability to contribute effectively within a structured team environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare, cook, and present dishes in accordance with menu specifications and portion standards.

Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work station throughout service.

Assist in the preparation of mise en place for assigned sections and support overall kitchen readiness.

Uphold strict adherence to food safety regulations and hygiene protocols, including proper handling, storage, and labeling of ingredients.

Monitor stock levels and report shortages or quality concerns to the supervising chef.

Ensure proper care and maintenance of kitchen equipment and report any faults promptly.

Collaborate effectively with kitchen colleagues to ensure smooth service during peak periods.

Participate in kitchen cleaning schedules and maintain a high standard of cleanliness in all areas.

Candidate Profile:

Minimum of [1–3] years of professional cooking experience in a structured kitchen environment (e.g., restaurant, hotel, catering, or institutional).

Formal culinary training or relevant qualification preferred (e.g., NVQ, City & Guilds, or equivalent).

Strong understanding of kitchen operations, basic cooking techniques, and food safety practices (Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate desirable).

High level of attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Professional demeanor, strong communication skills, and a collaborative team spirit.

Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required.
