Primary responsibilities:
- Checking in patients for exams, medical record-keeping, and invoicing
- Drug calculations and administration
- Anesthesia- induction, monitoring, pre, and post-operative pain control administration, assisting in surgery
- Processing in-house lab samples
- Intake and discharges for surgical procedures
- Overseeing patient care while in clinic
- Assisting team members with cleaning
Skills and Knowledge:
- IV catheter placement, phlebotomy, cystocentesis
- Knowledge of basic emergency procedures and ability to set up for incoming cases
- Excellent communication skills in person, over the phone, via text and email
- Ability to work well in high pressure situations and adequately prioritize tasks
- Ability to work individually and in coordination with a team
- Self-motivated and eager-to-learn individual
- Computer proficient including use of Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel
- Ability to lift 40lbs or more
- Veterinary technician license preferred
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $26.00 - $32.00 per hour depending on experience
