About Rocky Mountain Conservancy

Since 1931 The Rocky Mountain Conservancy has promoted stewardship of Rocky Mountain National Park and similar lands through education and philanthropy. We accomplish our work through in-person on-the-ground conservation work, providing funding for Rocky Mountain National Park for projects, operating Nature Stores across Colorado and Wyoming that provide additional funding to local forests, and much more!

Our Conservation Corps program provides a unique experience for young adults aged 18-25. No matter your outdoor experience or knowledge, this is an opportunity for you to spend your summer with us completing hands-on conservation work in the beautiful Rocky Mountains. Through the summer and fall, crews work side by side with Rocky Mountain National Park and Arapaho-Roosevelt National Forests crews constructing and maintaining trails, restoring historic buildings, providing invaluable wildfire mitigation efforts, restoring river corridors, and learning from expert NPS and USFS land managers.

You learn about many forms of environmental stewardship including trail work, but also have the opportunity to witness the intragovernmental cooperation between agencies such as the NPS, Forest Service, and how these all interact with nonprofits like RMC and even local volunteer organizations.
