Music Business Management Entry-Level: Associate

We are looking for an Associate with an accounting background, a love for music, and a great work ethic to join our team of talented and motivated people. Location: This position can be based out of Los Angeles, Denver, or on a hybrid basis.

Overview of Role: The Associate acts as the first line of support for our Account Executives, Account Managers, and Business Managers.

A successful candidate will possess the following qualifications:

Responsibilities Include:

• Accounts Payable/Receivable review and approval and processing

• Maintaining banking and income checklist

• Updating weekly balances, understanding which accounts we monitor and why

• Credit Card/Road Cash reconciliations and journal entries

• Tour Merchandise and Royalty trackers

• Maintaining and data entry in Personal Expense Worksheets

• Update tour tracking system

• Basic Tax Prep and other tasks specifically associated with accounting in the music

industry

• Tracking bill backs to labels

• Generating commission statements

• W2/1099 Processing

• Special projects and data entry/filing to document software

Education Requirements

• A minimum of two semesters of college level accounting is required

• Bachelor’s degree preferred

• A general understanding of the music industry is helpful but not required
