Data-Driven Risk Analyst

Exiger Government Solutions’ (EGS) Delivery Team is seeking Analysts to research, analyze, and produce timely and accurate assessments of third-party and supply chain risk for government and defense industrial base clients. The role is US-based and requires technical skills and the ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing. 

The candidate will gather, synthesize, and analyze intelligence information related to force protection, counterterrorism, counterintelligence, supply chain, CFIUS, people vetting, and other areas in support of the assigned account. The candidate will explore new data sources, create effective queries, and combine information from disparate sources to help the client understand their mission environment. The candidate will also serve as a member of a team of analysts in support of clients’ operational requirements. In this role, he or she will collaborate with other analysts in researching, monitoring, and analyzing intelligence data and making recommendations based on that data. The candidate will perform searches for information and identify potential adverse information using Exiger’s artificial intelligence document-review platform. The ideal candidate will have a passion for collaborative problem solving, be capable of becoming highly skilled in using DDIQ, and be able to develop an expert knowledge of clients’ priorities. The successful candidate must be an energetic professional who will advocate for the company and be able to establish and maintain strong client and internal relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver analytical support to satisfy our clients

• Prepare presentations and quantitative exhibits on project scope and findings
• Assess accuracy of information collected by Exiger’s machine learning document-review platform

Requirements:

• U.S. citizen
• Strong analytical skills
  • Ability to evaluate open-source information for its relevance and importance, to pinpoint information pertaining to the assigned subject, and to draw conclusions from his/her analysis
  • Ability and confidence to draw high-level assessments from often granular research and data
  • Continuing awareness of, and interest in, foreign affairs and geopolitics
  • Ability to learn and intimately understand our clients’ missions and priorities to inform his/her analysis
• Experience using analytical research and industry tools to manage and analyze information and data
  • Strong open-source research skills
  • Comfort manipulating and drawing insights from large datasets
  • Ability and desire to learn and master the tools relevant to Exiger’s capabilities
• At least intermediate-level skills using data tools such as Excel and/or SQL, Python, etc.
  • Excel skills with basic formula ability for techniques like the VLOOKUP or IF function, and ability to use pivot tables
• Ability to write and speak clearly to brief complex analytical matters to all levels
• Strong organizational skills, including ability to prioritize and work under pressure
