Intake Specialist

Position: Intake Specialist 

Department: Marketing 

Reporting to: VP, Marketing 

Compensation: $18.00 per hour 

Classification: Temporary 

Location: In-Office - Salt Lake City, UT (Home Office) 

Hours: Full-Time 40 hours Monday – Friday or Part Time if you are a student. Some Saturdays during peak season (October 15 – December 7). 

We have flexible schedules for college students. 

PLEASE NOTE: This is a temporary position with the opportunity to become a regular full-time position as a Licensed Apprentice Advocate in January 2025. 

 

Job Duties 

  • Specialists will take new inbound calls and qualify their eligibility and desire to shop for a Medicare Plan.  Once calls have been qualified the specialist will warm transfer the customer to a licensed agent. 
  • Specialists will receive warm transfer calls from licensed agents to read an enrollment script and verify the demographic data for the customer.  The enrollment script calls may take up to 20-30 minutes to read the required script and submit the data for enrollment.  Specialists will not have to answer in-depth questions about benefits or make plan recommendations. 
  • Specialists may make calls to complete a Health Risk Assessment survey with a newly enrolled customer.  This will be a brief scripted call with the customer to go over some basic health-related questions, which will be submitted to the Health Plan. 

  

What you’ll bring! 

  • High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience. 
  • Demonstrate professional phone etiquette. 
  • Excellent listening and communication skills.
  • Intermediate computer literacy and the ability to easily enter information from callers into assigned internal systems, e.g., collecting contact information and answers to intake questions.
  • Must pass pre-employment background screen.
